About Joel Strayer
I'm a Colorado based photographer/creative. I love what I do and count myself blessed to be able to do it - and I do it well. I am just as at home in the studio as I am on location, as a solo photographer or directing a creative team.
I love my wife and son and our little one on the way. I love playing drums. Recently, I decided I was going to love running; which is a work in progress. Making things makes me happy. Photography is only at the top of a long list of things I like to make.
I like to slow down enough to reflect on life and I like the fast pace of adventure; sometimes I ride my bike slow enough to hold a cup of coffee, other times I ride fast enough to break a sweat.
I love my clients and I'm truly honored to work with each one. I choose my projects carefully and give all my creative focus and energy to each one, whether they are local shops or national companies. Photography is all about telling a story, communicating a message, getting attention. That's what I strive for in every shoot, every shot. I am not just another guy with a camera. My passion lies within the creative process. I am a designer. I am an artist. I am a photographer.
